It was a magical five days at Dunnottar. Every aspect of our stay was just perfect. The house was so beautiful and beautifully appointed. The food was simply outstanding. The staff were so attentive and took care of us so well.
The location of Dunnottar was so great as the lake was at our door step. The five days went by with daily walks at the lake, trekking and relaxing in the wonderful ambience of the cottage.

To be honest, we would have loved more of the lake view, but nevertheless, your bungalow is beautiful and memorable. Dunnottar Bungalow is something way too special.

“The menu at Dunnattor is scrumptious but nothing beats the amazing snacks. Their chilli cheese toast tastes like stuff dreams are made of and even now on a rainy day I think of it. ”
We found Dunnattor Bungalow entirely by chance in October 2020 for our stay for New year’s in December. It was already reserved at the time but somehow due to some stroke of luck we managed to secure a reservation. We were in communication with the owner regarding the nitty-gritties on a daily basis. Mr. Biswajit was warm, super helpful and made our stay there that much more comfortable.
Dunnattor Bungalow has an old world charm that is difficult to replicate. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms modern and the living area cozy. A special mention must be made for the caretaker, Mr. Jayraj, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay as perfect as possible. The staff there were very helpful when we organised a birthday party for one of the guests and worked tirelessly to make sure we had a great time and things went off smoothly.

The location of Dunnattor Bungalow is another notable mention. It is located at the hub of Kodaikanal, right by the lake. The children enjoyed many horse and boat rides there without having to venture out too far.
Our overall experience was of a home away from home but with everything taken care of by the best.

As a newly married couple in 2020, we couldn’t enjoy a honeymoon until we were able to visit The Dunnottar. A big thank you to Team Dunnottar for making our first holiday magical and memorable.
We enjoyed cycling and walking around the lake, hanging about in the hammock with the adorable Tiger (our favourite Kodai puppy) running around. All our meals by Isabel were delicious and quickly tucked away. Special shout out to the warm staff who were always helping us with a smile.
Leaving with a lot of happy memories and eagerly looking forward to visiting again.

We had a fantastic stay with family here at Dunnottar. The kids had a ball too. The housekeeping staff, Jayaraj and the cook are extremely courteous and friendly.
