Bungalow Policy
We wish to welcome you to The Dunnottar Bungalow, a fully serviced luxury bungalow. We hope you have a comfortable stay.
In order to facilitate the smooth operation of the Bungalow, it is understood that the guests accept our general house rules, terms and conditions set out below.

General
Check-In / Check-Out
The Check-in time is 2 pm and the check-out time is 10 a.m.
We try and accommodate early Check-ins and late Check-outs subject to availability. You can however drop off your bags in case you arrive early.
Check-ins before 8 a.m. and Check-outs after 5 p.m. will entail a minimum of half day charges.
Wi-Fi
There is free Wi-Fi in the house. The Wi-Fi code will be given during check-in.
Room Cleaning Service
Between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm.
If you do not wish us to clean your room, please let the Manager know.
Breakfast Time
8 am - 10 am.
Please specify your breakfast time at check-in. Breakfast will generally consist of the following choices but may change without notice.
* Bread
* locally sourced condiments
* Seasonal Fresh fruit
* Eggs to order(scrambled, boiled, omelette)
* Coffee, Tea
* One South Indian breakfast dish that changes daily
No In-House Cooking
Cooking in-house is not permitted.
Guests, if they want to cook, can cook in the main kitchen giving us prior notice and if the kitchen is free. Guests are not permitted to bring professional cooks to cook for them.
Laundry Service
In house laundry service is available at extra cost.
Dry cleaning if requested, will be outsourced. Please check with the Manager for details.
Bed Linen and Towels
As part of our environmental policy we will only change the bed linen between guests or every 5 days, and towels once in 3 days unless guests ask for a towel change or they look unclean.
Non-smoking Premises
Smoking is strictly not permitted inside the house and on the veranda. Smoking is permitted in the garden only. Please use the ashtrays when smoking.Smoking out of the windows is strictly prohibited.
Unregistered Guests
Guests who are not checked-in or registered as guests of The Dunnottar Bungalow are not allowed to sleep or stay overnight in the Bungalow.
Car parking
On-site open air car parking is available free of charge for guests staying at the Bungalow. Cars parked here are at owner’s risk.
Valuables, Security and Storage
Safe-deposit box is available in each of the bedrooms free of charge.
The management is not responsible for lost items. Please lock the doors when you leave.
Although the Bungalow management takes responsible steps to ensure the safety and security of all guests and their possessions, guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security.
Security Deposit
A security Deposit equal to 10% of the amount of your stay is required at check-inpayable via cash or card. Your deposit balance is refundable at check-out on finalising your account (Credit card pre-authority refunds may take up to 7 days for your bank to process).
Cancellation Policy
GST at 18% will be applicable.
We understand that well planned holidays unfortunately have to be cancelled sometimes. In case of cancellations, the refund due to you as per policy will be credited to your bank account within 7 working days minus the payment gateway charges.
100% refund - 15 days or more prior to Check In date
75% refund - Between 5 - 15 days prior to Check In date
50% refund - Between 2 - 5 days prior to Check In date
0% refund - 2 days prior to Check In date

Additional
Massages, Private Chefs, and Other Third Party Services
Third party services such as massages, private chefs and catering, and other such activities are strictly not allowed and cannot be organized and conducted within our property.
Housekeeping Staff
Guests are requested not to assign any duties to the housekeeping staff, who are under instruction from the Bungalow manager.
Bathrooms
Please do not put anything down the toilet except for toilet paper. Please use the bins provided for anything apart from toilet paper and the sanitary napkin bag for sanitary napkins.
No Pets
We do not allow pets.
Arms and Ammunition
Arms and ammunition are not allowed within the guest house premises.
Respect & Consideration Towards other Guests
If you have rented Dunnottar North or Dunnottar South, it is possible there may be guests staying in the other wing. Please be mindful not to make undue noise specially during sleeping hours.
Gratuity
Please do not tip the staff individually. If you do wish to show your appreciation, please drop the tips in the Gratuity box placed on the desk. We would suggest Rs. 1,000/- per day of stay as gratuity.
Lost Property
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge to cover postage and packaging.
Termination Policy
We reserve the right, at ourdiscretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (please note that non-compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
Damage and Loss
All guests are liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause or incur at The Bungalow. The charges for damages will be deducted against your security deposit. If the charges are deemed to be higher than the value of the security deposit, we reserve the right to recover any further charges from you.
Please take care of the premises. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant, or for missing items.
We cannot accept responsibility for your losses within the premises or in the car park Please ensure that you lock your bedroom, the front door and your car.
If you lose your keys for the front door or your room, you will need to reimburse the cost of replacement. If you accidentally take your keys home with you, please let us know and post it back to us as soon as possible.
General Incapacity
The Bungalow Management and the staff cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents The Bungalow from fulfilling its obligation to guests. However, the guest house will take necessary steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions:
* Unanticipated interruption to electricity, water, sewage to and from the guest house;
* Industrial actions, civil uprising or criminal activity;
* Fire, frost, flooding, wind or any other force major event;
* Any of the provided gadgets fail.
Environmental Policy
The owners of The Bungalow are dedicated to the protection of natural resources and would encourage our guests to help us by:
* Switching off lights when not in use;
* Ensuring that taps are always turned off after use;
* Avoiding the unnecessary use of bedsheets, towels – change or use what you need!;
* We will sort the recyclable rubbish collected from guest rooms i.e. paper, plastic, metal
and glass;
* We thank you in advance for your comprehension and co-operation.
